by Shakespeare
David McKay Studio, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada.
February, 2003.

Directed by Roberta Barker
Scenography by Ingrid Hu

Shakespeare’s adaptation of Chaucer’s Trojan love tragedy is transposed into a World War I setting, inspired by the cinema of Derek Jarman and WW1 poems. The audience sit opposite each other as transformations take place on stage using pulleys, balloons, and ingenious lighting design (also by Ingrid Hu).
