Having recently received funding from Arts Council England Spectra will be working on two new interactive and multisensory performance pieces, the first an outdoor adventure in Canon Hill Park, Hanging in the Balance.Delve into a mystical world of enchanting sights, sounds, tastes, smells and things to do. With our world hanging in the balance join our courageous characters on an adventure through Cannon Hill Park. Enjoy delicious nibbles, mesmerising music, delightful dance and fantastic action while you endeavour to bring the elements back into harmony.#BalancedThis is an all ages, all abilities show – come one, come all!

Spectra is a performance company that draws on the diverse creativity of it’s mixed professional and learning disabled community cast. It has been developed through a partnership between mac Birmingham’s Next Generation programme, independent artist Kate DeRight, and Queen Alexandra College.

Accessibility: This is an all ages show that aims to accessible to everyone. The show includes 15-20 minutes of walking through Cannon Hill Park on buggy and wheelchair friendly paths. The show is unseated but chairs can be provided when requested. If you wish to attend but have any mobility concerns, please call 0121 446 3232 to speak to someone at Box Office.- Food: Our audience gets fed during this show! Customer Service Assistants will have a list of all ingredients in each of the items; please direct any questions regarding dietary requirements to Customer Service Assistants on the day of performance- Weather: As this is an outdoor show, we will all be hoping for sunshine. If there is light rain, we will proceed outside, so please wear appropriate attire. If the forecast or the weather itself is substantially wet, we will perform the show inside, taking a journey through some of mac Birmingham’s more unusual spaces.
