Mila Sanders

Mila has been designing for theatre since 2002. She studied Drama at University of Wales, Aberystwyth before taking an MA in Theatre Design / Scenography at Wimbledon School of Art.


Mila enjoys collaborating with directors to create a language for storytelling, she relishes impossible challenges and the rewards they offer the imagination.


She has experience in mid-scale and small scale tours, rural touring, puppetry, musicals, site specific, dance, outdoor theatre, new writing, Shakespeare, as well as working with young people and community groups and workshop leading and devising.

The Door Never Closes, All the Little Things We Crushed (Almeida), Pub Quiz (New Writing North) Jelly Bean Jack (Little Angel Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (NT Education), The Juniper Tree (Goat and Monkey), King Macbeth (Reveal), Gills Around the Green (Eastern Angles), Ghost Town (Limbik), The Winter’s Tale (Stamford Shakespeare Company), Much Ado About Nothing (Marlowe Society Cambridge).


Costume Designs: Macbeth, Twelfth Night (NT Discover), Tombstone Tales and Boothill Ballads (Arcola), Jason and the Argonauts (BAC and tour), St George and the Dragon (touring) Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (Kazzum).
