Ingrid Hu
Ingrid trained in Scenography in Canada and at Central St Martins College of Art and Design, London. Since graduating in 2002 she has been working in theatre and in multidisciplinary design, including with the award-winning Heatherwick Studio.
She works with a wide range of materials and techniques and is particularly interested in the interplay of textures, light and colour. She collaborates closely with directors and performers in developing concepts integral to the narrative. Her designs often involve transformative elements and innovative use of space.
Ingrid is enthusiastic about all aspects of theatre design. She designs sets, lighting, as well as costumes, and has deigned for a variety of performances in the UK and abroad.
